As the days progress, she’ll find support from Rey, so perhaps she gets burned by Newman again, enough for her to possible decide to start a new and “fresh” chapter with Rey again.

It seems as if he’ll gain a new perspective after his visit. Here’s hoping Billy continues to move forward and mend; no parent should have to feel or go through what he has had to deal with as of late.
