CBS announced on Wednesday, March 2nd that it has decided to renew The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) for not one, but two more years! This deal will see the beloved soap opera extend through the 2023-24 broadcast season.
While there was very little doubt that B&B would be renewed, the two-year deal is being celebrated by both network and show-runners as a major achievement.
“For 35 years, The Bold and the Beautiful has been a cornerstone of our No. 1 daytime lineup,” said Margot Wain, who is senior VP of daytime programs at CBS.
“Congratulations to our talented cast and crew, as well as Bradley Bell [headwriter and executive producer, pictured], who have made this show a creative and ratings success,” Wain added (as per Soaps.com), “and thank you to dedicated fans, whose passion for these characters and stories is unrivaled.”

Bell, whose parents William J. and Lee Phillip Bell created both B&B and sister-soap, The Young and the Restless, also shared a statement.
“35 years ago, I would have never imagined what was in store,” Bell said. “Since our premiere in 1987, it’s been a fantastic journey and incredible experience for all of us.”
“We would not be here if not for the invaluable support of CBS and our millions of fans around the globe for their loyalty and support,” Bell pointed out.
This news arrives just prior to the soap’s 35th anniversary. According to TVLine, this anniversary will be marked on Thursday, March 24th with a standalone episode dedicated to Brooke Logan (played by Katherine Kelly Lang). Fittingly, the actress has been with B&B since its very first episode, and this special taping will focus on five of Brooke’s true loves.
