Sophia Bush is single again.
The 32 year-old actress known for her roles in Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire split from boyfriend Dan Fredinburg earlier this year.
“They decided to end their relationship in February,” explained an insider. “When you see one another for 24 hours every four weeks, it’s impossible to maintain a romantic relationship. They weren’t able to spend the time together that was necessary to nurture that kind of relationship.”
Sophia’s TV show shoots in Chicago, while Dan was based in Northern California, so ultimately the distance just made things too hard. But the source claims that Sophia and Dan are still very good friends. “They both care about one another and it was completely amicable,” the source continued.
Sophia was previously romantically linked to her One Tree Hill co-star Austin Nichols.
Earlier this year, Sophia spoke out about body confidence. “I’m curvy. I’m not some rail-thin, 6-foot-tall runway model who was just born that way,” she said on The Today Show. I was born like this. And that’s A-OK. And the conversations that have sort of come out of that, the conversations about feeling empowered in our skin rather than comparing ourselves to other women have been a really great byproduct actually of that whole shoot” (she was referring to a Maxim magazine photo shoot).
