Sophia Bush Sends Touching Birthday Wish to ‘One Tree Hill’ Costar Hilarie Burton

Although our favorite TV BFF duo may no longer charm the streets of Tree Hill, Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton’s relationship off screen seems to be stronger than ever!

34-year old Bush, who played Brooke Davis on the hit television series One Tree Hill, posted a series of throwback photos on Instagram to celebrate Hilarie Burton’s (Peyton Sawyer) birthday. She shared a lengthy and sweet message to her friend and wrote, “Happiest Birthday to my sweet @hilarieburton. Sister! We’ve been through a lot. At least 374 hair colors together. Crushes. Heartbreaks. Hangovers. Halloweens. Tears and laughter. Fear and joy. Successes and burn-it-to-the-ground failures. We’ve fought like rams and loved like family.”

Bush raved about Burton’s character both on and off screen. “You’re a champion for your community. An incredible mom. You’re the alpaca whisperer. You’re whip smart and razor sharp and deeply tender. There is no one I would have rather been on the world’s most insane roller coaster with,” wrote Bush. “And I’m so glad there’s evidence that we both used to overpluck our eyebrows, undeniably, on the internet forever. At least we’re not alone. I love you mama.” She concluded her post by paying tribute to the One Tree Hill friendship and included the hashtags, “#Breyton4eva #BreytonFeels #ShesMine #BetterInRealLife.”

The undeniable love from this post definitely has our hopes up for a One Tree Hill reunion, but for now we’ll just send our best wishes to Burton as she celebrated her 35th birthday on July 1.
