Real Housewives of New York star Luann De Lesseps has rejected a plea deal that was offered during a Palm Beach court hearing this past Wednesday, February 14.
The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s office revealed, “I extended a plea offer. Defense has decided not to accept the offer and to proceed with discovery. Today defense waived speedy trial and set a status check April 13.” It was previously reported that De Lesseps was charged with one felony for resisting an officer with violence and two misdemeanors following the arrest.
The star has previously opened up and apologized for the incident claiming that the end of her seven-month marriage to Tom D’Agostino got the best of her. “I want to offer my most sincere apologies to anyone that I might have offended with my behavior,” she told Us Weekly at the time. “This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being here brought up buried emotions. I am committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.”
Following the arrest, she completed a term in rehab to recover. Since returning home following the rehab stint, De Lesseps has resumed filming season 10 of RHONY and has turned her focus towards her career and her upcoming cabaret show.
