Another royal baby is on the way!
On Friday, September 25 Buckingham Palace shared the news that Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their first child who is due early next year!
This will be the first grandchild for Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip‘s ninth great-grandchild.
The Palace shared the news to social media, writing, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021.” The message included a photo from the pair’s wedding day and a baby emoji. It also states, “The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.”
Princess Eugenie took to her own Instagram to share the happy news as well. The 30-year-old royal shared a photo of the couple holding a fluffy pair of baby bear slippers and wrote, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021…” with a baby emoji.
The duo wed at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in October 2018. The pair met during a skiing vacation in Switzerland and had an immediate connection according to Princess Eugenie. After seven years of dating, Jack proposed during a trip to Nicaragua. “The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen. I actually said, ‘This is an incredible moment,’ and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
