On Wednesday, March 4, Mischa Barton slammed her rumored replacement on The Hills revival, Caroline D’Amore, via Instagram. The actress shared a screenshot of an article that claimed she would not be returning for the show’s second season and that D’Amore, the founder of her own line of organic, all-natural pasta sauce, would be joining the cast.
“Lol. Where do people get their reporting from?” Barton captioned her post. “As if anyone would watch @carolinedamore try to hoc her boring ass pasta bowls 🍝👀 and greasy pizza on tv. Tried that it was like watching paint dry. 😂 Get the story straight first. @usweekly.”

D’Amore responded to Barton’s comment with her own Instagram post.
“The Hills are alive with the taste of @pizzagirlofficial and the sudden surge in sales this morning. #sellingout #notstoopingtoyourlevel @mischabarton REAL women don’t bully other women #thehillsnewbeginnings,” D’Amore captioned the post.
The same day, sources revealed to PEOPLE that D’Amore had been cast in The Hills: New Beginnings second season.
“As of now Mischa isn’t coming back for season two, but Caroline isn’t directly replacing her. And things could always change!” one source said.
D’Amore, the daughter of pizza mogul Joe D’Amore, is a DJ producer and the head chef and co-owner of D’Amores Pizza. D’Amore is also a radio host on Heartbeatz on Dash Radio and produces DJ Diaries with Caroline D’Amore.
Although Barton won’t be returning to the show, original cast members Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Whitney Port, Jason Wahler and Frankie Delgado are set to return for season 2.
No premiere date for The Hills: New Beginnings season 2 has been announced yet.
