Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are on the hunt for a summer house!
The royal couple is reportedly hoping to spend some time in L.A. this summer. The news of their house hunting isn’t overly surprising since Los Angeles is Meghan’s home town and the couple has a strong support system of friends and family in the area, including Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. “They love being in Canada, but they are looking at houses in L.A. too,” a friend of the couple shared with PEOPLE. “They’ll likely have houses in both places.”
The duo is currently staying in Vancouver Island and keeping a low profile while the drama of their royal exit dies down. They’ve reportedly had many visits from friends and have hosted Meghan’s mother as well. Meghan was all smiles when she was spotted driving to Victoria International Airport on January 16th to pick up her friend Heather Dorak, a Pilates teacher based in L.A. Abigail Spencer, her former Suits co-star, also paid Vancouver Island a visit and went on a New Year’s Day hike with Meghan and Harry.
Meghan and Harry have been enjoying a slower pace of life in recent weeks, which is why both Vancouver Island and L.A. suit their desired lifestyle for this new chapter. “They are enjoying living a quiet life,” an insider revealed. “They go for long walks, they do yoga, and Meghan cooks. They are real homebodies who love to chill out with Archie and the dogs.”
