The Duchess of Cambridge is reconnecting with her roots in the U.K!
Kate has embarked on a 24-hour solo tour of the U.K. where she will make four stops around England and Wales. The tour is to launch the next stage of her ongoing work initiative to support the early development of children. Kate is passionate about children and has revolved much of her royal work around programs that support their physical and mental health.
Kate’s whirlwind tour began on Tuesday, January 21st when she stepped out in Birmingham to visit the MiniBrum at Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum. During the visit, she was given a tour of the interactive facility, played with children and also spoke to parents about her work.
The Duchess is set to debut a survey aimed at children under the age of 5, so she ran some of her ideas by parents. Some of the questions include topics such as nature vs. nurture, health, and happiness. Kate hopes the results will help guide what is being done and what can be done to help vulnerable children develop into healthy adults.
For the occasion, Kate wore a green and blue chevron patterned shirt with a pussy-bow detail which she paired with wide-leg black trousers. She wore her hair in a bouncy blowout and wore her makeup light and natural.
