General Hospital (GH) star Kristina Wagner has offered a touching tribute to her son, Harrison, on what would’ve been his 28th birthday.
Harrison was found without vital signs in a Los Angeles parking lot in early June. A week later, Kristina and fellow soap veteran Jack Wagner announced that their son had “lost his battle with addiction”.
“Today is Harrison’s birthdate,” Wagner wrote on Instagram. “I had the privilege to know him for 27 incredible years.”
Describing Harrison as “larger than life” and someone with “vulnerability and compassion”, Wagner recognized the struggle in her son as he grew up.

“He understood his own defects and worked hard to turn them around, to strengthen his positive attributes,” Wagner explained. “He was a good listener and stood up for others when they couldn’t speak for themselves.”
Wagner also shared how the grief of Harrison’s untimely passing has impacted her daily life. “Sometimes I feel like a pinned butterfly,” she revealed. “There’s no second chance. There’s no see-him-again. There’s no nothing. He’s not coming back. It’s final.”
However, the GH star also acknowledged that everyone needs to find their own path in the wake of tragedy.
“But life goes on. How do I spend the rest of my own without Harrison in it?” the actress inquired, wondering what it means to be “all right” after losing one’s own child. “The pain will never go away.”
Kristina’s social media post comes a few months after Harrison’s dad, Jack, shared his appreciation for the support of fans during this difficult time.
“Happy Birthday, Harrison,” Wagner signed off. “To all bereaved parents: May you find peace. Let’s stick around and see what’s in store for our extraordinary lives.”
