For as long as reality star Farrah Abraham has been in the spotlight, she has been saying, and doing, some very controversial things.
The Teen Mom OG star once again made some pretty shocking comments in a new interview on the Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast that was released on Tuesday, August 9.
As everyone is well aware of Abraham’s career in the adult film industry, the hosts asked her how she would react if that was a path her own daughter, 7-year-old Sophia, took when she became an adult. “God bless her!” the 25-year-old responded. “Because you know what, when you’re 18, and if you feel that you’re vulnerable enough or your mother wasn’t there or you don’t have enough money in your bank account and you decide to do that, then that’s your own choice.”
Despite potentially not stopping her daughter from making that decision if it were ever to come up, Abraham insisted Sophia has a different future ahead of her. “I don’t think I’m setting my daughter up for that. I’ve set my daughter up for something else better than that. God bless me, she has her college paid for, she has her own stuff. She’ll do good.”
Surprisingly, Abraham thinks her 7-year-old and her classmates have “heard about” Abraham’s porn career. “I’m sure the boys in her class certainly have Googled a time or two. There’s so much attention on her, there’s so much attention on me… but I think it’s more about TV, Teen Mom and some of the other stuff that we do.”
She also opened up about a controversy fans saw on the last season of Teen Mom OG where Sophia’s principal was concerned about the young girl wearing make-up to school, but Abraham completely defends it. “You know, when your kids are like 5 or 6 they already start playing with makeup. I was the only mother in elementary school getting called in to deal with makeup on your daughter. So I said to them – and I proved my point because now the principal switched schools – I said: ‘Well, you should take off your makeup. If you don’t want little girls coming into school with makeup, then don’t wear makeup.’ ”
As for the possibility of expanding her family, Abraham said, “I would like to have a son of my own. I have great genes, my daughter is beautiful!”
Farrah and Sophia will return for the newest season of Teen Mom OG on August 22 on MTV.
