Dylan Sprouse Says ‘The Suite Life’ “Saved” Him And His Brother In Anniversary Tribute To The Show

The cast of Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody may be all grown up now, but many of them took to social media earlier in the week to pay tribute to the show in honor of its anniversary.

March 18 marked 15 years since the series first premiered on the Disney Channel in 2005, and prompted emotional posts from some of the cast including Dylan Sprouse.

“Yesterday marked the 15 year anniversary of when Suite Life first premiered on TV. It was so long ago that the cold open of the pilot episode was Cole searching for non existent armpit hair on me,” the 27-year-old wrote alongside a photo of himself and his twin Cole from the pilot.

He added, “We were both around 11 years old when we started filming. A lot had happened in our lives that was difficult then and this show, in a way, saved us. 1000 years of gratitude to all involved. I love you all and I’m glad this show can still give families the nostalgia they once had when watching it. I’ll keep those memories forever.”

After the series came to an end Dylan and Cole went on to star in the spinoff series The Suite Life on Deck from 2008 to 2011, meaning their entire teenage years were spent on the series and when it came to an end, they both decided to take a break from Hollywood and go to college.

Now, both have returned to acting, but for the first time ever are doing so separately with Cole of course now starring as Jughead Jones on Riverdale. Dylan Sprouse has revealed that the haven’t ruled out working together again, “I mean we’re very serious. It’s more likely that I will write something for us to work in together, rather than someone approach us,” he said back in February. Twin movies are never good!”

He added: “That’s just the universal truth I think the universe has given to us, and so if we can find the right thing then, yeah.”

Brenda Song, who starred as London Tipton, on the series also shared a tribute. The actress posted a picture from an episode of everyone yelling in surprise and wrote, “My actual reaction when I just read that it’s the 15th anniversary of the premiere #thesuitelifeofzackandcody !! That’s insane! I’ve never felt so old. Hahaha. Such an incredible life changing time. Miss you gang!”
