Monday night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars focussed on a Disney+ theme, and the stars definitely brought the magic with their performances!
Aside from Disney, the routines celebrated the films and music of Pixar, Marvel, The Simpsons, and more, with the celebrities and their partners kicking off the first “Disney+” theme night.
The show began with a lively performance to “Colombia, Mi Encanto” from Encanto. Later in the show, pro dancers Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov performed to “That’s How You Know” from Enchanted. The dance troupe also performed a special number to “Try Everything” from Zootopia in honor of Disney’s upcoming 100th anniversary.
Following the introduction, the celebrities and their pro partners hit the dance floor. Ahead of results, Bruno praised the group for delivering “amazing performances.”
After voting closed, co-hosts Tyra Banks and Alfonso announced that Jordin and Brandon, Gabby and Val, Selma and Sasha, Heidi and Artem, Shangela and Gleb, and Joseph and Daniella were safe.
The second group of contestants that was safe included Charli and Mark, Wayne and Witney, Jessie and Alan, Vinny and Koko, and Daniel and Britt.
This left Sam and Cheryl and Trevor in the bottom two for the second week in a row. Trevor and Emma joined them in the bottom two for the first time. The judges agreed that ultimately Sam and Cheryl would be sent home in week four.
“It’s been an incredible journey. Cheryl worked harder than anyone could,” Sam said before wishing his cast mates well as they continue on in their DWTS journey.
Dancing with the Stars airs live on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Disney+.
