The first celebrity has been eliminated from season 29 of Dancing with the Stars! Follow along for a recap of week two and find out who went home.
Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten impressed the judges last week and tied for first place with Justina Machado and Sasha Farber, but they weren’t as successful during week two. “A setback sets you up for a comeback,” Derek Hough told Jackson.
Aside from dance routines, week two also showed a more personal side for some contestants. Before their performance, Chrishell Stause opened up to her partner, Gleb Savchenko, about her past. “Growing up, we were homeless. Basically, we were squatters in an abandoned house,” the Selling Sunset star shared.
“I remember the first time that I took a field trip with my school and I went into the bathroom to change. It was that moment that I unzipped my bags, I realized how bad I smelled.” Chrishell’s routine for week two proved she had improved since week one and impressed the judges.
Tiger King star Carole Baskin also broke down in tears to her partner, Pasha Pashkov, sharing that her daughter can’t read the news anymore because of the hate her mother received after the Netflix series.
Bachelor Nation alum Kaitlyn Bristowe also experienced some struggles this week when she felt intense pain in her ankle just moments before the show began. Bristowe decided to continue on with the routine and nailed it, which really wowed the judges.
At the bottom of the leaderboard this week was Carole Baskin and basketball player Charles Oakley. Ultimately, the judges decided to save Baskin and sending Oakley and his partner Emma Slater home.
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
