Fan favorite One Tree Hill alum Chad Michael Murray returned to the iconic bridge from the opening credits of the hit teen series!
The long-running drama featured Chad Michael Murray’s character Lucas Scott bouncing a basketball while walking across the bridge during the iconic opening credits of the series. The 36-year old actor posed in front of the bridge in Wilmington, North Carolina, which was where the show was filmed during its nine-year run from 2003 to 2012.
“Who’s bridge? OUR BRIDGE! Wonder how many [basketballs] have accidentally bounced off & are living down below… #OTH,” he captioned the sentimental Instagram shot.
Murray, along with many other cast mates, was in town for EyeCon’s annual “Return to Tree Hill” fan convention. The 2017 meet-up marks the sixth annual event which brings together the stars of the show for a meet-and-greet, Q&A session and a concert.
James Lafferty (Nathan), Lee Norris (Mouth), Antwon Tanner (Skills), Stephen Colletti (Chase), Barry Corbin (Whitey), Robbie Jones (Quentin) and Bevin Prince (Bevin) were among the castmembers in attendance over the weekend. The event also closed out with a concert performed by Bryan Greenberg, Tyler Hilton, Kate Voegele and Wakey Wakey, who all appeared on teen drama over the years.
James Lafferty, who plays Murray’s on-screen brother Nathan Scott on the series, also posted a caption expressing his joy to be in attendance at the event. “Thank you to every stellar OTH fan we saw this weekend. You all never cease to amaze me with your grace, kindness and enthusiasm. As a token of gratitude I offer a picture of these two juicy love cherubs just living their lives yesterday. Sincerely hope you enjoy,” Lafferty captioned an Instagram photo of Hilton and Michael Grubbs.
