Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie rarely talk about their marriage — so Brad’s latest interview is a juicy treat!
The 50 year-old actor, who married longtime partner Angelina Jolie earlier this year, spoke to GQ Magazine about what it’s like to be a married man.
“I wouldn’t say [marriage is] just a title. There’s more to it than that,” he explained.
What’s most surprising is the answer Brad gave when he was asked if he’s happy. “I’ve always believed happiness is overrated, you know?” he said. Check out the video to hear about why that is, and what he thinks about the “trade-offs” involved in being married.
It sounds a bit anti-romantic — but then again, maybe Brad is just being refreshingly honest about the challenges of marriage.
Brad also said that he plans to slow down in his career so that he has more time with his six young children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. “I’ve been slowing down for a while now. And slowly transitioning to other things,” Brad said. “And, truthfully, I do want to spend more time with my kids before they’re grown up and gone.”
That may involve Brad being on a television show like True Detective. “They’re doing great stuff on television,” Brad said. “And we [his production company, Plan B] have a few television ideas ourselves. So yes, I’d love to do one.”
