Adam Levine has gone blonde!
The 35 year-old Maroon 5 frontman and coach on The Voice is sporting a new, drastic blonde haircut — and he shocked fans with a photo of his ‘do on Twitter. Check out the video to see pics of Adam!
The basic shape and style of his hair remains the same, but he’s now seriously platinum blonde, a sharp contrast to his dark eyebrows and facial scruff.
“Apocalypse prep course complete,” he wrote in a caption alongside the photo, which also features his fiancee Behati Prinsloo.
I guess he knew that other Twitter users would be hyperbolic about the world-ending change, since they immediately criticized Adam’s new haircut — and comments were harsh, comparing him to everyone from Macaulay Culkin and Tyler Durden to fellow pop star Pink.
But Adam takes it all in stride. “I hope people understand that when they say my hair looks creepy i take that as the highest compliment,” he tweeted later.
In the past, he’s joked about his style. When MTV asked him about his morning routine, he responded, “It begins with a three-hour exfoliation on my eyeballs. I then apply several layers of oatmeal on my face, and I let that sit for about six or seven minutes. Then I take a loofah and scrub it all off. Then after that, I do a ritual dance, but I can’t go into details, because it might be inappropriate. It’s really detailed and I can’t leave the house until I’m done with all the chakras. We have a LOT of chakras.”
Maybe his blonde hairstyle is a joke too?
