31. Best: Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore was a vision in white at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards where she opted for a crisp Michael Kors Collection dress that featured a belted waist and cutouts along the bodice. We love the slight shimmer of the skirt and how well the long-sleeve number fits Moore!

30. Worst: Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev is a natural beauty, which is why she doesn’t need much embellishment when it comes to hitting the red carpet in style. This red lace number simply felt distracting and heavy on the star. We prefer to see lace incorporated in a subtle, dainty way rather than feeling overdone with ruffles and a bright color.

29. Best: Regina King

Regina King absolutely nailed her Golden Globes look this year, and we’re happy to say she did the same for the Critics’ Choice Awards! We absolutely love her Michael Kors Collection dress that featured a rich, deep purple color and a slight off the shoulder neckline. King is proving to be the queen of sleek, sparkly dresses.

28. Worst: Glenn Close

As much as we love Glenn Close, this outfit was definitely not her best. The satin texture was on the right track, but the proportions of this look were totally off. The blazer was too long and seemed to drown her, especially in combination with the heavy pleated skirt.

27. Best: Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron was a blonde bombshell at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards! Her Givenchy dress featured an asymmetrical neckline and a striking gray to ivory gradient. We love the pleated texture of this dress and how the shimmer really allows the pleats to create a beautiful glittering effect.

26. Worst: Catherine O’Hara

For this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards, Catherine O’Hara opted for a black tuxedo suit look. While we’re all for androgynous dressing, we weren’t fans of this particular look. Although the red floral embellishment on the blazer was actually quite nice, the combination of this with the heavy neckline detailing felt like too much.

25. Best: Chrissy Metz

Chrissy Metz looked absolutely gorgeous at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards! She donned a Kate Spade dress in a lovely shade of dusty pink that was embellished with glittering roses across the bodice and down the front of the dress. The roses added a truly elegant and unique feel to the look.

24. Worst: Sandra Oh

Sandra Oh absolutely killed the fashion game at the 2019 Golden Globes where she wore a variety of looks as a co-host. For the Critics’ Choice Awards, however, we’re not sure how big of fans we are of her look. While the monochrome dress itself is nice, especially contrasted with her emerald accessories, her long bangs and curled locks made her look nearly unrecognizable!

23. Best: Kiki Layne

Kiki Layne was a show stopper at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards in a glittering pink gown designed by Atelier Versace. The gown fit her like a glove and showed off her long, slender legs flawlessly.

22. Worst: Amandla Stenberg

Amandla Stenberg stepped out at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards wearing a brick red gown that featured oversized sleeves and a plunging neckline. As much as we love this rich color on Stenberg, the shape of the dress didn’t seem the most flattering and drowned her figure.

21. Best: Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum was sultry and alluring in this rich velvet dress by Ralph Lauren. We love this deep shade of burgundy contrasted against Rossum’s porcelain complexion, and especially when combined with an oxblood lip and sleek updo.

20. Worst: Kirby Howell-Baptiste

Killing Eve actress Kirby Howell-Baptiste stepped out at the Critics’ Choice Awards wearing a pale blue dress that featured layers, frills, and a high neckline. We simply couldn’t figure out this dress as it seemed to overpower the beautiful actress and felt like a bit of an eye-sore with the bright color and heavy layers.

19. Best: Rachel Brosnahan

Rachel Brosnahan looked absolutely gorgeous at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards in this crisp white pantsuit. What we love most about this look is the perfect combination of masculine and feminine dressing. The look was masculine with the sleek and sophisticated tuxedo foundation but also oozed feminity with the oversized bow in the center of the blazer.

18. Worst: Lucy Boynton

Lucy Boynton opted for a bold Gucci dress for this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards, but we have to admit we weren’t the biggest fan of the look. The dress simply felt overwhelming with design elements that clashed. From the oversized ruffle trim to the pale pink bow and heavy print, the dress just didn’t flow together and felt quite disjointed.

17. Best: Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell had all eyes on her at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards where she stepped out in a deep indigo dress. The dress itself was quite simple featuring dainty spaghetti straps and a sheer panel along the bust, but that’s exactly why it worked! The dress worked fabulously with her skin tone and enhanced her beauty rather than distracting from it.

16. Worst: Judy Greer

Judy Greer had a highly questionable fashion moment at the Golden Globes earlier this month, and it seems she struck again at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Her Reem Acra dress featured voluminous elbow-length sleeves and a heavy print. The look was just overall quite overwhelming!

15. Best: Claire Foy

Claire Foy stunned at the Critics’ Choice Awards in this asymmetrical jumpsuit look. We absolutely love the contrast of the bare shoulder with the sheer sleeve on the other. It made for such a unique, statement-making fashion moment!

14. Worst: Allison Janney

Allison Janney stepped out at the Critics’ Choice Awards wearing a white pantsuit that seemed to miss the mark. The look featured a dramatic cape that draped over her shoulders and added a shapeless, confusing feeling to her look.

13. Best: Debra Messing

Debra Messing has had quite a few red carpet misses in the past few months, which is why we were all the more excited to see her nail her Critics’ Choice Awards look. Her dress featured a unique geometric pattern and a delicate sheer texture which really had all eyes on her!

12. Worst: Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman had an unfortunate miss at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards wearing a monochrome Armani Privé dress. While we love the sleek shape of this dress, the unsightly white ruffle along the skirt was quite distracting and unnecessary.

11. Best: Constance Wu

Constance Wu stole the show at the Critics’ Choice Awards in this striking champagne number by Rodarte. The hand-beaded sequin dress fit her like a glove and the unique ruffles along the sleeve were a gorgeous unexpected detail.

10. Worst: Gemma Chan

Gemma Chan has had a handful of stunning red carpet dresses for previous award shows, which is why we now have high expectations when she hits the red carpet. This look, unfortunately, definitely wasn’t her best. The heavy print and ruffle of this Jason Wu dress felt like too much.

9. Best: Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen was a total bombshell at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards wearing a Maison Yeya gown that featured gorgeous silver embellishment at the hip. We love all the intricate folding, pleats and detailing of this sultry number.

8. Worst: Maggie Gyllenhaal

We were quite puzzled when we saw Maggie Gyllenhaal’s dress of choice at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards. The silky Prada gown was a bizarre shade of light greenish-yellow and the sleeve detailing left many fashion critics quite puzzled.

7. Best: Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt nailed her red carpet look for the Critics’ Choice Awards in this stunning Miu Miu dress. The star was a vision in white in this sparkle encrusted dress that twisted at the bust and featured an unexpected peephole in the bodice.

6. Worst: Amy Adams

Amy Adams is quite simple when it comes to style, but that isn’t always for the best. We have to admit we weren’t huge fans of her choice of dress for the Critics’ Choice Awards red carpet. The navy blue look felt somewhat matronly and casual with the button details and poofy sleeves. We did, however, love her sleek bun and dramatic emerald earrings.

5. Best: Laura Harrier

Laura Harrier stole the show at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards when she graced the red carpet in this sparkling Louis Vuitton number. The look featured a U-shaped plunging neckline and dainty glitter spread throughout. She topped the look with loose waves and a matching diamond choker.

4. Worst: Connie Britton

We are huge fans of Connie Britton, but we can’t say the same for this lime green dress she opted for at the Critics’ Choice Awards. The dress felt like a strange, risky color choice and didn’t flatter her complexion in the best way possible.

3. Best: Poppy Delevingne

Poppy Delevingne had all eyes on her at the Critics’ Choice Awards in this flowy Oscar de la Renta dress. The number was the perfect combination of elegance and sultriness, which is exactly why we loved it.

2. Worst: Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn had a highly questionable polka dot moment at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards. The star opted for a disastrous black and white look that was anything but simple. From the ruffles to the varying sized polka dots to the heavy sash, this look seemed to have everything, but not in a flattering way.

1. Best: Lady Gaga

Of all the looks from this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards, we have to give major kudos to Lady Gaga for this strapless Calvin Klein number. This look may be one of her most basic red carpet looks yet, but that’s exactly why we praise it! The look was clean, elegant and refreshing.
