8. Happy Anniversary, Genie!

A huge congratulations to Genie Francis, who celebrated her 45th anniversary with GH during the week of February 7th. Co-stars and fans celebrated the Queen of Port Charles on social media throughout the week. “Cheers to my sweet friend on her magnificent 45th GH anniversary, and for letting me lust after her husband,” Nancy Lee Grahn (who plays Alexis) tweeted to both Francis and her husband, Jonathan Frakes. 7. Remembering The Luke And Laura Fallout

To celebrate her incredible run on GH, Francis sat down with Soap Opera Digest and looked back over her decades in Port Charles. Although most of her memories are positive ones, she admits that she endured a lot of difficult times when asked to treat Luke’s assault on her character as a seduction. “I don’t know how I got through it — and I got through it really alone,” she confessed. “My parents were not that involved with me. [The network] was flying me from place to place and I was alone. And I was a child, and I had to justify all that stuff.”

6. Lindsay Hartley’s Message To The Fans

Lindsay Hartley, who stepped into the role of Sam McCall when Kelly Monaco was unavailable, couldn’t resist reaching out to GH fans on the eve of her final appearance. “One epi left as Sam,” Hartley shared on Instagram. “Thank you for the support. And, thank you for trusting me to step into a character that Kelly has so beautifully created. I appreciate you all.” Let’s hope this soap-hopper lands her own character soon, because she really nailed it!

5. Sonny, Carly and Nina Speak To The Fans

Needless to say, the love triangle between Sonny, Carly and Nina hit a climax during the week of February 7th — and audiences were stunned. As fans picked sides and threw accusations around, Maurice Benard got together with Laura Wright and Cynthia Watros to remind viewers that it’s all about love. “These are — my opinion — the two best actresses…” Benard began, when Wright chimed in, “You’re gonna get in trouble!” As Watros kissed both co-stars on the cheeks, Wright added that there’s “so much good stuff coming”. So hang in there, fam!

4. Carly’s Here To Stay

With all of the recent drama in Carly Corinthos’ life, GH fans began to chatter about Laura Wright possibly leaving the soap, either for a break or permanently. However, Wright wasted no time in nipping this suggestion in the bud. “Nope,” she stated over Twitter. “People love to start rumors.”

2. Childhood Dreams Come True

Not everyone gets to live out their childhood fantasy, but Dominic Zamprogna is living proof that it’s possible. The GH star recently revealed his bright red sports car on Instagram, which traveled from “my wall as a kid to the driveway”. In the photos, which featured two of his daughters, he described the purchase as “in time for pre mid current kid life crisis”. Hopefully this proves to be a shining example to his kids to always reach for their dreams.

1. Only GH Fans Can Do It!

In a Soaps.com interview, GH alum Ryan Paevey got real about his chances of reprising his currently deceased character, Nathan West. “Ultimately, it boils down to you,” the Hallmark star answered. “You have to take your ego out of stuff like that.” Despite acknowledging that he isn’t in the position to demand a comeback, Paevey did sound open to the idea. “I’m not saying I don’t want to go back to being Nathan, but at the moment there is nothing in the works.”
