8. He has a kid

When he was just 22, Tyga fathered a son, named King Cairo Stevenson, with stripper/model Blac Chyna (they got engaged in 2012, but then broke up in 2014). Though being a dad can sometimes demonstrate that a guy can deal with responsibility and put other people first, it’s a lot to deal with when you’re just 18. Does Kylie really want to be a step-mom already?

7. He Has Major Ex Issues

The fact that Tyga has a child with Blac means that Blac is always going to be a part of his life, since they have to c0-parent. Would you want to deal with your boyfriend’s ex all the time? Blac even issued Kylie a warning via Instagram once, when Tyga gave Kylie a red G-wagon that some people suggested once actually belonged to Blac. It was repainted, but the license plate was the same! “Don’t trust what you see, even salt looks like sugar,” Blac posted on Instagram. Does Kylie really want to be getting into a public feud with Blac? Even if she takes the high road, it feels like a losing situation. Tyga has reportedly threatened Blac to “stop talking” about Kylie on social media.

6. It’s a Good Time to be Single

Why should Kylie settle down with a boyfriend at all when she’s finally 18 and can date around in public? Maybe she’s not even exclusive with Tyga yet, but we think Kylie should take this time in her life to have fun and date different people casually so that she can figure out what she wants. It’s fun to have a boyfriend, but if Kylie sticks to Tyga she might miss out on a cool opportunity, or find herself waking up in five years wondering why she’s devoted herself to one particular guy (who will be 30 by then!). In response to rumors that she might be engaged to Tyga, Kylie wrote on Twitter, “Not planning on getting married anytime soon” with a smiley face, so that’s a relief at least!

5. He’s Got Beefs With a Bunch of People

We don’t expect everyone in the music industry to get along, but Tyga has publicly dissed both Drake and Nicki Minaj. “I tend to distance myself from them. I’m tryna go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki,” he told Vibe in an interview in October 2014. “I don’t like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda like we were forcing relationships together.” Tyga also told The Breakfast Club, “It’s not really a beef, it’s just experiences that I’ve had with him, phone calls and stuff like that. He’s a nice guy on the outside, but he’s not genuine. He plays people left and right.”

4. He’s Already Had a Bunch of Legal Issues

We think Tyga is too old for Kylie, but 25 is actually pretty young for someone to have been sued a number of times. In 2012, Tyga was sued by two women who appeared in his video and were told that their nipples would be edited out (they weren’t). In 2013, another woman sued him for the same reason. Then in 2013, Tyga was sued by a Beverly Hills jeweler for allegedly not paying for roughly $91,000 worth of jewelry. With late fees, Tyga ended up getting sued for almost double that amount. And finally, earlier this year, a judge ordered Tyga to pay $90,000 to a landlord for a house he had rented, followed by an $80,000 settlement. What’s the deal?

3. He Seems Possessive

To wish Kylie a happy birthday on Instagram, Tyga posted an incredibly sexy photo of her wearing a very tight dress that shows off her ample cleavage. In it, she’s even dripping wet and pulling the strap of the dress away from her body. “Happy bday to the dopest girl ever,” he captioned the snap, which many fans are interpreting as Tyga’s way of going public with their relationship. She probably gave him permission to post the photo, which is from a professional photo shoot with Los Angeles-based photographer Sasha Samsonova, but doesn’t the post seem like kind of a weird way to put your stamp on someone? He didn’t post a picture of balloons or a cake or him hanging out with Kylie. He posted a sexy photo of her very adult-looking body, as if to say, “This is mine.”

2. He Already Raps About Her

Would you want a rapper airing all the details of your relationship in a song? In the song “Pleazer,” Tyga rapped about “Kardashian p—y” and how he was “bout to catch a felony for it.” Classy, huh? That’s a pretty gross way to talk about a 17 year-old you’re interested in, isn’t it? If Tyga was comfortable rapping about this when Kylie was underage, imagine what he’s going to do now — and what he might say if they were to break up someday. We’re not sure we can handle hearing future Tyga lyrics about Kylie.

1. He Gets into Nightclub Scuffles

Back in June, Tyga was involved in a nightclub incident in Switzerland of all places. According to TMZ, Tyga was scheduled to perform at Envogue Genève, a club in Geneva, Switzerland, for an hour-long set — but he showed up so late that he ended up performing for just ten minutes. Tyga left with Kylie around 4 a.m., with the club’s owners hot on his heels. A brawl broke out an someone in the owner’s camp even pulled a gun, which is when Tyga high-tailed it out of there. Punctuality issues aside, is this really what Kylie wants to be getting into when she goes out with her boyfriend? Things could have turned out much worse.
