We are only a couple of weeks away from the biggest celebration in daytime television: The 2016 Daytime Emmys. The Academy has been good to the Young and the Restless (Y&R) over the years, with the show itself winning numerous awards for its overall performance, writing, and direction. Y&R cast members have also taken home a statue for themselves, including Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Eric Braeden (The Moustache, a.k.a Victor Newman), Amelia Heinle Luckinbill (Victoria Newman), and a slew of others. However, what about those who may have not gotten any Emmy love, despite their incredible efforts? Below are five Y&R stars who deserve an Emmy, but have never won.
5. Eileen Davidson
Playing the older Abbott sister Ashley since 1982 (on-and-off again), Eileen Davidson has become a staple on the Y&R, and is one of the most famous female faces on daytime television. While she has won a Daytime Emmy for her role as Kristen DiMera on Days of Our Lives in 2014, she hits this list, as she has yet to win one as Ashley Abbott on the Y&R. A true shame, since some of Davidson’s best acting has taken place, while living a chaotic and dramatic life in Genoa City.
