10. 500 Days of Summer
500 Days of Summer is the perfect unconventional love story featuring the oddly lovable Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gorden-Levitt. This film tells the tragic tale of unrequited love when a guy gets unexpectedly dumped by his girlfriend. The story is told through a series of flashes back on their 500 days together in order to find out where the relationship went wrong. It calls into question whether true love actually exists and reminds us that sometimes we fall in love with people who don’t feel the same way. The movie isn’t all doom and gloom though. Tom is able to reevaluate his passions in life. It ends on a happy note when he runs into his ex and she has told him that she found her true love. He is able to wish her happiness and goes to a job interview where he meets a beautiful woman there who shares the same passions as him.
