8. E.J. Needs Cheering Up

It’s hard to say if Johnny will “take sides” between mom and dad. However, DOOL spoilers for the week of August 16th do note that his return to Salem will give E.J. something to be happy about. Clearly, he’ll still be down in the dumps about Sami’s betrayal. Meanwhile, it won’t take long for Chanel to catch Johnny’s eye. Added teasers imply that he’ll instantly be “smitten” with Allie’s BFF.

7. Maggie’s Back

Johnny won’t be the only returning character to arrive on the scene this coming week. Days spoilers suggest that Maggie will return to the Kiriakis mansion. Added teasers imply that there may be some family drama, as she’ll arrive back at the house in the “nick of time”. Is this about Brady and Philip, or is something else going on here?

6. Grandma’s Home!

New character alert! Olivia Price, Paulina’s mother, is set to arrive in the land of Salem on Monday’s episode. She’ll be played by actress Marla Gibbs. For those that recall, Jackée Harry (Paulina) and Gibbs worked together decades ago on the hit sitcom, 227. Will the two still have some of that onscreen magic from back in the day? Fans will have to tune in to find out!

5. Paulina’s Stunned

Sounds like Olivia’s arrival will be unexpected. DOOL spoilers indicate that Paulina will be stunned to see her mom on her doorstep. As the days go by, added teasers suggest that the two ladies will get into a confrontation, and it seems like the past will be brought up (and blow up) in Paulina’s face.

4. Cin Wedding?

Days continue to prove that a lot can happen in a week-and-a-half! Spoilers indicate that Ciara and Ben will be back on track as of next week, and added teasers reveal that Weston will decide to throw an impromptu wedding. Will the event go as planned? Will Ciara be on board? Will there be an explosion at this Cin wedding (like the last one)?

3. Theo Left Heartbroken

As Cin celebrates their reunion, Theo will be left heartbroken. DOOL spoilers state that the young man will lean on Abe for support this week. Theo knew what he was getting himself into; however, it’s hard not to feel bad for Carver. He followed his heart, and no one can really blame him for this. Here’s hoping someone comes by to help him forget about Ciara.

2. An Offer For Claire

Meanwhile, DOOL spoilers indicate that Claire will be given an offer she might not want to refuse. Does this have to do with business or pleasure? Could Ciara ask for forgiveness now that she remembers “everything”? Or will this have to do with Theo? Could this be from the police, regarding her involvement in Ciara’s “kidnapping”? Only time will tell!

Across town, DOOL spoilers indicate that Xander might be falling (hook, line and sinker) for Gwen. It sounds like he’ll make a tremendous sacrifice for the young lady during the week of August 16th. Added teasers note that he’ll be cuffed by Shawn and taken to the slammer, while little Miss Gwen weighs out her “options”. Will she do the right thing?
