12. The Fight For DiMera Takes An Interesting Twist

As Kristen, Gabi and EJ all struggle to gain control of DiMera Enterprises, there will likely be some over-the-top plot twists during the next two weeks. Right now, Gabi and Ava are in an alliance; however, DOOL spoilers imply that EJ will learn of a secret Vitali has and hold it against her to get what he wants. He may learn that she’s not really a DiMera or he could uncover something else from her shady past. Either way, it looks as if Ava will be playing both sides over the next two weeks.

11. Ava and Her DiMera Men

Speaking of, Ava’s been bonding with both Johnny and his father, EJ, since she moved into the mansion. There’s certainly chemistry between her and the younger DiMera, while she and EJ seem to be clashing (and it’ll only get more intense between the two as the weeks progress). At times, butting heads seems to be a precursor to romance. So, will Ava have her hands full, juggling feelings for father and son?

10. EJ Wants To Get Married

Perhaps what EJ “wants” is for him and Ava to get hitched; that way, he’d have access to Jake’s shares of DiMera. The marriage would be one of convenience, in which they’d try to convince the world that they are in love, but they wouldn’t be. Ava may eventually catch some feelings for EJ, but she and Johnny will cross a line, too. Sounds like Vitali’s love life, much like the rest of her world, is about to get very complicated.

9. What Does Chloe Want From Gabi?

Days spoilers for the week of August 15th indicate that Chloe will turn to Gabi for some help. Could this have to do with Kristen running Basic Black? Then again, it could be a small and irrelevant business favor that offers the two ladies an opportunity to talk about Stefan. After all, Chloe also had a thing with him, and now that he’s on the cusp of a return, the two may have a chat to remind viewers of a romance that occurred shortly before Gabi entered the picture.

8. Stephan Awakens

DOOL spoilers for the week of August 22nd hint that Stefan will likely awaken at some point over the next two weeks. Teasers note that he’ll be looking to tell someone his “heart’s desire”. He may either wake up with no one around, or fans will hear his thoughts while he’s still in a coma. He may also find himself in a position where he can hear Gabi but not have the ability to communicate back. Either way, the storyline seems to be inching closer to Stefan waking up.

7. New Evidence Sheds Light

DOOL spoilers for this week note that Chad and Jada will search the secret room in the tunnels. Thanks to Thomas, suspicion has finally been thrown Leo’s way. Added teasers suggest that Stark will lawyer up in the days ahead, and that he, as well as his attorney, will gang up on Rafe. Leo has a motive, but is he Abigail’s killer?

6. Will Leo Have An Alibi?

Leo looks mighty guilty, but does he have what it takes to stab someone multiple times over? All arrows are pointing to him as the number one suspect — in this case, at this moment — but much like Lucas, Clyde and Sarah, an alibi is bound to pop up at some point soon, clearing Leo of attempted murder.

5. Gwen Is Thrown Into The Spotlight

With that said, Gwen will likely be the next person thrown into the investigation spotlight. Xander and Sarah have gotten the goods on Rizczech and, thanks to her Sarah mask, she looks mighty guilty. But did Gwen do it? She does have the motive, and she may have even intended to rid Salem of Abigail — but perhaps someone beat her to it?

4. Could Li Be Behind Abigail’s Stabbing?

Li’s gotten very dark, very fast. Could he be behind Abigail’s stabbing? Perhaps Chad’s wife decided to scrap the story about Sami’s kidnapper (as per hubby’s request) and move forward with another story. Could she have stumbled upon Rolf’s lab or learned of it? Maybe she found information on Li, revealing a “dark” past? Shin could’ve been onto her, thus stabbing Abigail to keep her quiet.

3. Jada’s Love Life In Salem

Whenever a new character emerges, soap opera writers tend to place them in situations with other characters to see if there’s chemistry. Right now, it looks as if Jada is interested in Eric Brady — who could blame her? But there are also hints that she and Shawn Brady could dabble in something, despite his attempts to reunite with Belle. In fact, it would be very interesting to see Belle concerned over Jada, considering all the affairs she’s had on Shawn. With that said, what about Jada and Chad? They’ll search the DiMera secret room this coming week. Chad’s still struggling with Abigail’s passing, but that doesn’t mean these two couldn’t become friends first, and then lovers later.

2. Stephanie Returns

Stephanie Johnson is set to return to Salem, and it’s hard not to think that she’ll dive right into the Orpheus storyline. Especially since the evil one is playing – and will continue to play – mind games with her parents Steve and Kayla, as well as John and Marlena. But what brings her back to Salem, and will she dive into any romances of her own? Chad’s suddenly single; plus, there’s always Alex Kiriakis. Steph once had a major love affair with Philip, so could her return signal his?

1. Will They… Or Won’t They?

Speaking of Alex, DOOL spoilers and this week’s preview video imply that Chanel, Allie and Alex could get a little too close for comfort. The threesome will go out on a date in the days ahead, and during drinks, Kiriakis will suggest that they head back to his house for a “hot” shower together. Will Horton and Dupree go along with things, or are the ladies punking Alex out? In the end, the latter scenario seems more likely!
