Glee star Samantha Marie Ware accused her former costar, Lea Michele, of her bizarre actions during Ware’s time on the show.
Ware responded to a tweet from Michele in support of Black Lives Matter on Friday, May 29, and accused the actress of making her time on Glee a “living hell.”

“LMAO REMEMBER WHEN YOU MADE MY FIRST TELEVISON GIG A LIVING HELL?!?!” Ware tweeted. “CAUSE ILL NEVER FORGET. I BELIEVE YOU TOLD EVERYONE THAT IF TOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY YOU WOULD ‘S— IN MY WIG!'”
Ware claimed the incident was among “OTHER TRAUMATIC MICROAGRESSIONS THAT MADE ME QUESTION A CAREER IN HOLLYWOOD…”
Ware starred in 11 episodes of Glee in 2015, portraying glee club hopeful Jane Hayward. The actress’s character ended up joining the group New Directions, helmed by Michele’s Rachel Berry. Ware also appeared in shows like Barry, What/If, and God Friended Me.
The actress’s tweet went viral within a few hours, collecting nearly 60,000 likes and still counting. Both fans and celebrities flocked to Ware’s tweet to support her and express their disgust and disappointment over the alleged situation. In the thread, Community star Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted, “I felt every one of those capital letters.”
Shortly after Ware’s tweet went viral, actor Dabier, who appeared in one episode of Glee in 2014, also called out Michele for her behavior on the set.
Dabier wrote: “GIRL YOU WOULDNT LET ME SIT AT THE TABLE WITH THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS CAUSE “I DIDNT BELONG THERE” F— YOU LEA”
Other stars quickly joined the conversation, with all of them appearing to support Ware and criticizing Michele.
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist star Alex Newell, who also appeared in Glee, encouraged Ware to speak up more by sharing the “Get her, Jade” meme from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Drag Race alum William Belli also quote-tweeted Newell’s post, by writing, “Lea treated me so subhuman i left the set of Glee. Pass the [popcorn emoji]”
Glee alum Amber Riley also tweeted, although she didn’t directly address the drama, with reaction gifs around the time of Ware’s tweets.
Since the allegations, Michele has been dropped from HelloFresh as a partner.
The company tweeted, “HelloFresh does not condone racism nor discrimination of any kind.”
“We are disheartened and disappointed to learn of the recent claims concerning Lea Michele. We take this very seriously and have ended our partnership with Lea Michele, effective immediately,” the statement continued.
