The legal woes for former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice has seemingly taken a drastic turn.
According to reports from Radar Online, the reality star was ordered to be deported back to Italy by a judge in Pennsylvania’s York Immigration Court.“Based upon the law, I find you deportable and ineligible for any kind of relief,” Judge John Ellington reportedly announced during the hearing.
He added, “Mr. Giudice, no matter how this turns out, I wish you the best. I decided this case as a matter of law.”
The publication revealed that Giudice, 46, who appeared at the hearing from his Allenwood, Penn. prison via teleconference, immediately argued with the judge over the ruling. “I don’t understand how I can be deported on this case. If you will, I’ll tell you my side. I shouldn’t even be here right now. I have to go back and tell my kids this, and they’ve been waiting to hear from me.”
“I get no joy in telling a family this news,” Judge Ellington responded.
“My charges are one of the lowest charges in this whole BOP facility or whatever you call it. I can explain,” cried Giudice, who is serving three years on fraud charges.
“I don’t think your attorney will want that, Mr. Giudice,” Ellington said and explained Giudice can file an appeal before November 9.
Back in 2014, Teresa and Joe Giudice plead guilty to 41 counts of fraud while Joe also admitted he did not pay $200,000 in taxes and as a result, Teresa served 11 months in prison in 2015, while Joe began his 41-month sentence in March 2016.
While there were rumors that Joe and Teresa’s marriage was coming to an end, on season eight of RHONJ, Teresa said she and their daughters would most certainly go with Joe if he were to be deported. “Italy’s a beautiful place to live,” she said on the Bravo reality series. “Whatever God has planned for me, that’s what’s going to happen. I will embrace it the best I can.”
