With only weeks to go before the due date of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child, votes our out on whether they are expecting a boy or a girl, and what the name could be. Although things have been kept under wraps pretty well up until now, it seems William might have just accidentally revealed the baby’s sex!
On Tuesday, April 10, William watched his favorite soccer team Aston Villa play against Cardiff City and the match ended with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish scoring the only goal.
With his excitement after the big win, William later talked to the Mirror who reports he said, “I’m going to insist the baby is called Jack,” but then paused and added, “…or Jackie.”
After the game, William met with the Aston Villa players including Grealish who gave the Prince his game-winning shirt.
Although details about Kate’s due date and the sex of the baby have not been released, preparations for the royal birth have began at St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing, where both George and Charlotte were born. Additionally odds are going up, and might be changing now, when it comes to bets on the baby’s name. If it is a boy, Albert and Arthur were tied as the most likely, but Philip, after William’s grandfather, is also a contender.
If the baby is a girl, odds are tied again with Alice and Mary, but again Elizabeth is also in the running.
