This past weekend, the cast and crew of MTV’s Teen Mom 2 descended upon L.A. for the taping of this season’s reunion show, but things did not go smoothly.
As always, the entire weekend was marred by tension and tempers, and most of the drama surrounded Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason, so now the reality star is speaking out. Evans took to her Instagram Live videos early in the morning on Sunday, October 22 to address the drama that happened over the course of Friday to Saturday. “I came here to do a live video… because of the s–t that happened last night,” she began. “If you haven’t heard, last night there was an article that, of course, comes out after I left, saying that they had to shut down production and Jenelle and David were acting crazy.”
Evans was speaking about reports from The Ashley that detailed that David pulled out a knife and popped balloons at the Friday night cast party after being refused alcohol, and that Jenelle and her ex Nathan got into a major fight during filming the next day. Evans responded to the knife claims by saying they weren’t nearly that serious and admitted that David was mad when he was denied beer so when he went outside he popped some balloons in frustration.
She added that the fight the next day did happen, but she was upset because her mother, Barbara, hugged Nathan’s new girlfriend Ashley Lanhart. Jenelle added that she was also angered because she was under the impression that Lanhart did not want to be filmed for Teen Mom 2 but was indeed being filmed backstage. She also stated that Lanhart started the fight because she began to “cuss her out.” She also accused Nathan’s mother Doris of starting a fight with David Eason, which prompted Nathan to become involved but Eason simply stated, “You’re not worth it.”
Griffith took to his own social media to confirm the fight did happen but insist Jenelle was lying and that she and Eason were the aggressors in the argument which reportedly temporarily shut down production.
Evans’ fellow Teen Mom 2 stars Leah Messer, Chelsea DeBoer, Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus were also all present for the reunion weekend, and a few took to their social media to seemingly comment on the drama.
Messer simply wrote, “All I can say is WOW. #teenmom2reunion,” on Twitter while DeBoer responded to a Tweet from The Ashley, who broke the news on all the incidents, writing, “Pretty sure I know what this is about. And it was absolutely unbelievable.”
