On Thursday, October 10, Supernatural officially began its final season, and the Winchester men have marked their bond with tattoos!
Ahead of the final season premiere, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played John Winchester, the father to Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s Dean and Sam Winchester, took to his Instagram to reveal that that the three stars marked their friendship and bond from the show with matching tattoos!
Morgan married his longtime love, actress Hilarie Burton, on October 5, 2019 and the couple had a tattoo artist for the guests, and the three men took advantage. “Me and @hilarieburton weren’t the only ones joined for life…. @jaredpadalecki @jensenackles and myself will forever have a bond that is both special, and permanent. Love you both dearly. #jmb #spnfamily @mikelucena73,” Morgan wrote alongside a collage of photos of each of the stars receiving their ink.
“Family who slays together, stays together. #kongsforever #spnfamily,” Padalecki commented on the post.
“Who knew getting inked up at a wedding was gonna be so permanent?…hahaha…wait what?,” Ackles added.
After Morgan and Burton revealed they had officially wed after 10 years and two children together, Morgan also later revealed that not only did he get tattoos with his Supernatural family, but Jensen Ackles actually performed the ceremony along with Morgan’s The Walking Dead costar Norman Reedus.
Of course, it is fitting for Ackles to have a role in the wedding because it was the actor and his wife, Danneel, who introduced Morgan and Burton. At the time, Ackles had starred with Morgan on Supernatural and Danneel was starring with Burton on the hit teen drama One Tree Hill.
