While former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Eason and her husband David continue to go to court over the custody of their children, the pair had another incident with the law when they called authorities to do a welfare check on their daughter Ensley who is with Jenelle’s mother Barbara Evans.
Barbara has been caring for Ensley after Jenelle and David temporarily lost custody following an incident in which David shot and killed the family dog.
Jenelle and David reportedly called 911 to report that Ensley was trapped in a bedroom at Barbara’s house and Barbara had put the child in there so she could shower but couldn’t get the door back open. “David and I were on FaceTime with Jace when we heard my mom say to Ensley, ‘Come here, I have to take a shower.’ Then she took Ensley in the other room, and we immediately heard her screaming and crying,” Jenelle told Us Weekly about the incident.
Jenelle continued, “We asked Jace what was going on, and he said my mom locked Ensley in the bedroom so she can take a shower. We told Jace to get the door open, and when he couldn’t get the door open, we called 911 for help because all we could hear was Ensley screaming.”
David was the one who called authorities and asked the dispatcher if they could report the incident to child protective services, but the dispatcher said Eason would have to be the one to file the incident.
Jenelle and David have been in and out of court for days fighting to regain custody of their children with Ensley and Jace in the care of Barbara, Jenelle’s son Kaiser is with his father Nathan Griffith, and David’s daughter Maryssa is in the custody of her mother Whitney Johnson.
